AMEC is pleased to announce the introduction of the Y-2 Series T-A Drill Insert with BT-A (BT) Geometry. This new insert includes a unique lip and point geometry designed for excellent chip control and a full insert polish to reduce edge build-up. This geometry is available on HSS and carbide T-A Drill Inserts in Y-2 Series.

The addition of the T-A Drill Insert with BT-Geometry will allow customers to successfully drill using our unique BT-A program. They are designed specifically for use with our BT-A heads to reduce material build-up, improve chip formation, and increase tool life in BT-A applications.

This new Geometry is also specifically aimed at Deep Hole drilling machines that use neat cutting oil, which does not disperse heat or evacuate the chip as easily as soluble oil.
